Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is being finalised and should not be treated as complete legal advice. Please contact us for our current privacy practices. Each allied health organisation remains responsible for its own Privacy Policy, consent processes and legal obligations.
Sensitive health information
Opal may handle sensitive health information when used by allied health organisations to manage clients, appointments, referrals and related administrative workflows. This includes client names, contact details, funding information, appointment notes and consent records.
Organisation responsibility
Clinics and allied health organisations remain responsible for the appropriate use of client information. This includes maintaining consent, complying with professional and regulatory obligations, and ensuring that information entered into Opal is collected and used lawfully.
Access controls
Access to Opal should be limited to authorised users. Organisations can manage access through role-based permissions, therapist PIN accounts and admin-controlled user roles. Sensitive actions are recorded in the audit log.
Data exports
Data exports may contain sensitive information. Exports are permission-protected and logged. Organisations should handle exported data with the same care as live records and store it securely.
AI and smart scheduling
Opal's scheduling suggestions are assistive and require human confirmation. Suggestions consider availability, appointment type, location, therapist capacity and other operational criteria. They do not replace professional judgement. Users should review suggestions before confirming bookings.
Authorised use
Users should not enter information they are not authorised to use. This includes client information that has not been collected with appropriate consent, or information that falls outside the user's role and responsibilities within their organisation.
Test and demo mode
Test mode is for exploring Opal without using real client data. Do not enter real client information in demo or test workspaces. Test data is clearly marked and can be removed from Settings.
