Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are being finalised and should not be treated as complete legal advice. Please contact us for our current service terms. Each organisation remains responsible for meeting its own legal, professional and regulatory obligations when using Opal.

Service description

Opal is a scheduling and appointment-allocation platform for Australian allied-health teams. It provides tools for managing clients, therapists, appointments, waitlists, requests, tasks and privacy-related records. Scheduling suggestions are assistive and require human confirmation.

Organisation responsibility

Each organisation is responsible for meeting its own legal, professional and regulatory obligations when using Opal. This includes maintaining appropriate consent, complying with privacy and health information laws, and ensuring staff are trained on appropriate use.

Authorised use

Users should not enter information they are not authorised to use. Access should be limited to authorised staff. Organisations are responsible for managing user accounts and roles within their team.

AI and scheduling suggestions

Opal's scheduling suggestions are designed to assist appointment coordination. They do not replace professional judgement, clinical assessment or organisational decision-making. Users should review suggestions before confirming bookings.

Data and exports

Organisations retain ownership of their data. Exports may contain sensitive information and should be handled accordingly. Import and export tools are permission-protected and logged.

Test and demo mode

Test mode is for exploring Opal without using real client data. Do not enter real client information in demo or test workspaces. Test data is separate from live practice data and can be cleared from Settings.

No claims of certification

Opal does not currently hold ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA or other external security certifications. We do not claim NDIS, PRODA or Medicare integration. We are building toward recognised security assurance practices as the platform scales.
